Carri is proud to now offer commissioned work! Rates and policies are as follows:

11x14 = $399
16x20 = $599
18x22 = $999

Please note that on any commission, there will be an approximate 1 ½ inch border to accommodate future matting and framing that would be completed by the customer. (Approx. 2" border on 18x22 pieces)

Commissioned work for Organizations: $195 for an 8x10 image, CD with high-resolution image included. Original 8x10 painting may be purchased for an additional $299.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin any painting (to cover time spent and cost of materials). Your commission will take approximately 6-8 weeks depending on size and complexity of the piece.

To start, Carri will need from you a full color, clear photograph to work with, and your ideas! The photograph must not be a professional photograph due to copyright issues that would come from whomever took the original photograph. Carri has had colleagues who have run into this problem of copyright infringement after the paintings have been created and paid for, and it's an ugly process. Carri's not interested. So please make sure that you either have a signed release for the picture and send a copy with it, or make sure it's not professional.

Carri reserves the right to refuse to work on a commission if it makes her uncomfortable or goes against her beliefs. What are her beliefs? Well, if you've crossed the line, she'll let you know. And she won't cash the check before she decides this, either.

Carri will do her very best to recognize your vision. Note that while looking through this website, you will see the style that Carri works in. That is the style that your work will be created in.

As the concept drawing is worked on, Carri will update you on her progress with a scanned image (or a photographic image, depending on the size). The painting will be on 300lb coldpress or hotpress watercolor paper, painted with fluid acrylics, just like all of the other images on her website.

When the painting is finished, Carri will email you a low-resolution copy of the image, and at that time, if there are any alterations that need to be done to the painting, just let her know and she'll be happy to accommodate. Any alterations after the first time will be done for $45 each time.

Once the painting is agreed upon, shipping costs will be determined and will be included in the final price. All pieces are shipped USPS priority, with insurance and signature confirmation. Customer has 4 weeks from finished date to pay the final balance before the commission will be shipped.

Carri reserves the right to put the finished image, or even works in progress, along with photographs submitted on her website to promote her Commissions page.
